- The meditative process of weaving creates that liminal place where you are so completely absorbed in a project or activity that you lose track of time, stop over thinking and instead immersing yourself in the act of creating.
- Like mantras in meditation, returning our thoughts to our chosen intention not only helps us to mentally anchor ourselves to our practice further but can help form new neural pathways that turn our intentions into consistent ways of being and help to bring about the positive change we wish to see in our lives.
- Weaving experience is not a pre-requisite …..I have always been amazed how quickly beginner students are able to learn to weave, drop into flow and create a lovely piece - I just love seeing the immediate benefits highlighted at the end of the day
Most importantly - this is a day of fun, laughter and chatting which is also sacred!!!

About Suzanne
Suzanne is an artist, weaver, mama, teacher and nature lover! She believes in the power of intention and the importance of harmonising the space and energy of our homes and where we live. She lives with her family on the south coast of Devon.
As the founder of Nest & Burrow, she has been working with pure wool for over a decade, creating textural designs to cosy up homes all over the world designing OOAK wall hanging collections and private commissions.
In 2017 she began teaching weaving. ‘Having loved running workshops in my previous career with the World-Wide Fund for Nature, it was time to combine that love with creativity for personal well-being’.
Im passionate about changing the world. And one extremely impactful way to do that is to empower women. My belief is that by encouraging women to take more time out for themselves, and through the exploration and development of their creativity, they can truly get to know themselves and their dreams - not only by weaving a beautiful piece of art but also reaching into the true potential of their life’.
Testimonial ‘My mum and I had SUCH a wonderful time at your Nourish & Nurture weekend last year.... we still regularly talk about it now... we decided to treat ourselves to a little adventure and were so lucky to have made such lovely memories. You are a fantastic teacher and it was so lovely to meet all the other lovely ladies that we did, who we still keep in touch with now! we came home feeling thoroughly relaxed and rested ... and brimming with all the creativity we had taken away from the weekend. I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality...looking after us and teaching us how to weave such gorgeous wall hangings. We continued to make them when we got home and both have one each on the go now! I’m so sad that we can’t make your next retreat as we said we’d definitely be coming to the next one too! ...so we’re keeping our eyes peeled for any more to come! Keep doing what you’re doing Suzanne you’re brilliant! Xxx’ - Nadine, Kent
